Urban Kitchen; the new place to feast at Castle Towers

Having undergone a renovation, ‘My Place’ has re-opened with a fresh new name and look. Located in the Piazza at Castle Towers, ‘Urban Kitchen’ is grabbing everyone’s attention.

Forward Thinking Design was approached to update this landmark restaurant and help it appeal to a younger customer base, under the constraints of a tight fit-out budget.

To efficiently create this transformation, a change in colour palette & feature lighting was used to define the restaurants new style. Dark greys and funky graphics on blackboard paint were used to create a more intimate and contemporary look, in stark contrast to the original white and orange interior. New feature lighting was integrated both inside & out to playfully update the space. These changes have enabled ‘Urban Kitchen’ to be distinctively different from the previous restaurant, without any need for expensive alterations to the floor plan. Forward Thinking Design also hooked up the proprietor with a menu consultant to successfully update the venue’s offering.

‘Urban Kitchen’s’ exciting new menu and hip new aesthetic have combined to create a dramatic renovation that has resulted in a 40% average increase in trade, proving that Forward Thinking Design’s reputation for turning around struggling hospitality businesses is well deserved.D75_3565-38
