The latest addition to the city’s dining scene serves up a menu driven by seasonal produce and fresh seafood amid whimsical yet elegant surroundings that also celebrate the virtues of Australian-made.

The Parkroyal Darling Harbour’s second restaurant has been relaunched as a modern bistro-style restaurant and bar, marking the conclusion of the hotel’s two-year, multi-million-dollar refurbishment.

Located within easy reach of the Sydney CBD on the fringe of the resurgent entertainment precinct, Abode offers casual yet high-quality fare in the stylish dining room, as well as an inviting lounge, sports bar and deck area to enjoy a relaxing drink.

The menu, devised by head chef Ryan Hong (formerly of the hotel’s other restaurant, Barkers, and Rockpool Bar & Grill), includes seasonal mains like duck and porcini ragu, Tasmanian king salmon and Blue Mountains wagyu steak, as well as a raw seafood selection and small dishes like pork belly, split prawns and octopus with kipfler potato and chorizo. Pressed apple mille-feuillewith lemon curd, rhubarb crumble with candied grapefruit and an Eton mess made with passionfruit are among the dessert choices.
