FTD FOUNDED, OPEN SOURCED, COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH AND INNOVATION PROJECT

SCOPE: To sketch out solutions to the massive environmental impact of commercial interior fitout design, construction and defit in Australia. To start a conversation with others who are interested in reducing waste and creating a closed-loop, circular economy. This thought leadership project has developed from FTD’s initial mind maps and brainstorming into a collaborative research undertaking. It has so far produced a guideline for designers, and with guidelines for shopfitters and clients underway this is only the beginning of collaboratively creating significant change.
